The fair is also a great place to eat some very unusual food. Some traditional favorites include cotton candy, hot dogs, and hamburgers. Fairgoers can also indulge in deep-fried Oreo cookies, deep-fried Twinkies, deep-fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and deep-fried beer. Each year the fair offers two food awards to vendors.
